Guest guest
We helped create what happened. Terrorists do exactly that, but retaliating with force does not make us any better than them-and there it is again-us and them which is only a creation of our minds. I was asked that question yesterday, if I would turn the other cheek if my family were being attacked. I never have and will not own a weapon. I would try to save my family, but not by killing anyone so my family probably would not be saved. We have no right under any circumstances to take another's life. The terrorists do not have that right either, but we have no right to decide what they need and go after them either. Violence still breeds violence-the only way to peace is for the violence to end. Guest guest
I would respectfully suggest that no-one really knows how they would react under extrmeme circumstances unless they have been through them. I will never own a weapon either , but I do know that the most basic human instinct is for survival and if my family were threatened I think I would try to save them any way I could. Unless of course I was paralized with fear, which is a real possibility. All systems that I know of agree that killing in self defense, when threatened, is not a wrong act. How could it be ?
