Guest guest
HI Dharam, I was wondering if any of your food sensitivities dealt with fluctuating blood sugar levels....this has been one of my concerns for myself since my experiences began---difficult, almost impossible to keep it balanced... it seems my brain is absolutely desperate for fuel....in a very demanding way...I have done incredible amounts of reading on health etc..have tried the 40/30/30 combination (claims to remedy blood sugar fluctuation) which seems to result in an overactive mind..I have tried the kichadi and wonder if due to the high carbohydrate content if didn't cause blood sugar problems too ( white basmati rice although healing---how is it with blood sugar?) I then wondered if my pancreas isn't somehow involved..... sat nam, michelle
Guest guest
Sat Nam, Here is some things that worked for me, as long as there is not a medical problem. 1. No sugar or food additives. 2. Root out emotional/stress reactions which are almost always causative in blood sugar reactions. 3. Find the right pace for yoga practice so that you are not creating anerobic responses. 4. Eat something soon after doing yoga. 5. Do something to support the adrenals, such as Ashawaghanda (a herb), yogi tea, etc., 20-20-20 breathing, and don't stop for a least 120 days. 6. Make sure you are getting protein in the morning. Guest guest
When I make 3+ gallons of Mung Beans and Rice (2 week supply) there are only 2 cups of rice. You may have a Vata imbalance (you say your mind is real active). Do you have a slender build and delicate hair? I don't know that I have a blood sugar imbalance although there is some diabetes in my blood line. Pancreas is always involved in digestion. I takes the gross input and makes the energy available. When it is functioning well there is sweetness in every experience....La Dolche Vita! and that greatly cuts down on caloric intake.
