Hello to everyone,

I have an inquiry. The lotus poses results excruciating for me, but I have

read somewhere that if you support the ache without changing the position

then your bad karma decreases, the longer the time you stay quiet the more

karma you paid.

Is that concept truthful? somebody knows about it?

There are so many stories and beliefs. This one might work for some people.

But personally it is not one that works for me.

There are many paths. I am not into pain. My personal criteria for what I

do is feeling good and being happy.

I would suggest paying off karma by service to others. This is more

efficient and you will have your two legs to walk with, which is handy while

in a human body. Also your heart will expand, you will feel universal

oneness and become enlightened.

Hi Gururattan K.Khalsa,

I read your email and had to respond. I offer this to you.

people vary so much with flexibility that you can't always expect to

get into all poses perfectly. We also don't have the same flexibility

bilaterally. Try just taking it to the point that your body lets you and

BREATH through it. At that point the breath relaxes your muscles but don't

force it beyond the point it doesn't want to go. Allot of people have that

tendency to push beyond their flexibility and that will only hurt you. Try

the half lotus possibly.

Also about Karma supporting the ache.....I am sure everyone has their

own belief on this one. I will give you my belief and what intuition tells

me. When I do a pose or stretch just as I suggested to you, I breath through

it. The Prana and concentration during this time is a form of meditation in

which the effort is put forth by you to release blockages by triggering

specific points on the body. This so called qi flows much more efficiently

giving us more vital energy and feeling great. It is sooooooo important to

relax after your session if not between each stretch as that is when

everything happens! You keep breathing deep and you let go in a meditative

stance all tensions (loosening the knots) that you hold in your bodies, and

surrendering to your higher self. it is then during these relaxation periods

after the stretches and poses have stimulated the points or channels in the

body that karma is allowed to be released. there are many ways in which to

release our karmic ties and this is one of them and remember it is not so

much the full position in which we twork our bodies than as if we try and go

just to the point to cause little dis- ease as that will still stimulate the

same points as a full position. I hope this has helped.

Many blessings to you.

Sat Nam,

Melanie

Hello, Melanie,

Could you tell more about what are those "many ways in

which to release our karmic ties".

Thank you,

Agali.
