Guest guest
Dear Friends: Tonight in yoga, I had a deep feeling move me to tears during deep relaxation. The message didn't completely gel until I got home later. My teacher reminded us how we are greater than our bodies and ourselves--of how we are spirit. I am thinking to myself how sorry I am for not getting along better with people in my immediate support family and sorry about personality conflicts in my office family. Then I think about how sorry I am for all of us on earth and how much we need spirit. I came home and picked up Gururrattan's book, "Transitions To A Heart Centered World." The 1st thing I read was, "From Pisces To Aquarius." It was then that it occurred to me that the 9-11 destruction could be a transition taking our world through a threshold into this new age. We are taught that there is great chaos when one age ends and another begins. All across America, state gov'ts. are having big problems with their budgets and their electricity. On the smaller scale, when we do our yoga we shed our old skins and grow into a new beautiful soulful skin. We become radiant and shine from within. All this is not without pain and suffering. That is the personal threshold we must go through. On the larger scale, we are all connected to each other, we feel the pain as individuals and collectively in NYC as we go together through this threshold into a new age. I needed to share this thought because in making the connection, it has helped me with what I'm doing with yoga, and dealing with the great sorrow we face in our world.
