Guest guest
Since I joined this list on dec.2000 , I haven't met in person anybody that practices KY, until this past saturday that I went to Guadalajara, Mex. for one day of White Tantric Yoga. It was a very nice experience to have met people that talks the same yogic language. I thought that I had an idea about what White Tantric Yoga was, but being there I realized that I had not. I saved in a file the experiences related by Gururattan and Sadhant during WTY at summer solstice this year, but from reading to experience it, there’s a long bridge., I didn’t want to ask more information before going to avoid programming my self about expecting something to happen. The event was to start at 8:30 am. , and I got there since 7:00 a.m. to expect find somebody new like me to be my tantric partner. I sat close to registration desk until one lady got there saying that she didn’t have a partner, and immediately raised my hand ’\ :-) I’ve never done in my life a 62 mins. meditation. We did 5/62 mins. 1/31 to end. We also did a Ra Ma Da Sa meditation healing for Yogi Bhajan. The instructions about mudras, mantras etc. in each meditation were given by a Yogi Bhajan video, and then translated them to spanish. There were about 200 people, it was a very powerful experience of unity, being there chanting the beautiful KY mantras all together. I must say that even though it was wild and intense, because I’ve never had an experience like this, and I thought many times that I was not going to survive to whole day, I did. I have a little sore in my whole body, and feel more sensitive since yesterday that I flew back home. It feels like if I’m going to catch a cold, I’m taking it easy and preferred to stay at home for today. I don’t really know what happened to my energetic body, my chakras etc. and I do not want to create fantasies about this. I’m just following my feelings, and want to be in calm. Since yesterday I’ve felt hungry of listening and chanting again the mantras we did at WTY. My legs, knees and low back did great, but not my mid back, I had to stand up once in each meditation, to rest for a few minutes. Since I was 12-14 ys. old , I’m as tall as now, and I guess my back was not strong enough to be straight, so it formed a xifosis, I don´t know how to call it in english, but my mid back is curved forward, and also the shoulders, the problem was to keep the back straight and doing the mudras with the arms forward during the meditations. I felt a severe pain in my mid back, I think because the muscles of that part are contracted and weak. I’d like to live again this experience of WTY , and to be able to do that I must work on my mid back, so I’d appreciate very much any suggestions of exercises to stretch and strengthen the mid back, even if they are not yogic exercises. Guest guest
Dear Carlos, Thanks you for sharing your experience. I hope others are inspired to attend White Tantric Yoga classes when they come to their part of the world. Mid back is navel center. I wouldn't start doing these right away. Sounds like you need relaxation and rest for a while. I always do after these intense experiences. When you are stronger begin a serious set for the navel center.
