Guest guest
Hi Melanie, try www.ayurveda.com. also any books by Dr.Lad and also Robert E. Svoboda....I think panchakarma may be what you are talking about as far as purification goes...it can be pretty intense though, depending on how toxic you are.....do you know your doshas etc.? I was interested like you, and I through books mainly, managed to teach myself alot...unless you want to attend a course---I think personal research is always good...go to the bookstore and look in the alternative health/healing section and you should find alot(or at least enough) ..or look up Robert E. Svoboda on the internet and he has alot of valuable books on the subject that you can order.... Also, have you heard of kichadi?(mung beans and rice) You can use this as a monodiet for a set period of time to detoxify and balance your doshas...along with kundalini yoga it is a simple and effective and less extreme method of cleansing..triphala is good to take during your cleansing period as well--it gently cleanses the colon and balances and detoxifies. sat nam, michelle
