Guest guest
Hello, Here we have the kind that are out all day AND all night-they have black and white stripped legs and are huge!!They are not indigenous to this area and have been here about 4 years (in Ga). I rarely get bitten by them. I just make sure that I know for sure in my heart and soul that they "can't" bite me, like I am not susceptible to mosquito bites, almost like I have gotten an immunization against them or a force field around myself. We went camping at the Suwanee River(in Florida-the west nile virus is in Fl now) for 3 days last month and I didn't get bitten once. Also I think they are attracted to mammals by our constant release of carbon dioxide. Not much can be done there! I have put Avon -Skin So Soft on my kids forever to protect them- because it doesn't smell poisonous like most repellents do. Guest guest
dear Avtar Kaur, forgive me for saying this but wonderfully mysterious as the universe may be, i can not for one moment accept that a humble mosquito can be party to your deepest thaughts and wishes. still who am i know? good luck with your struggle Stephen
Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your replies and suggestions. A year ago I tried asking the mosquitos to leave me alone, and that didn't work. I didn't tell them there were other people sweeter than me - I'm not sure I would be comfortable doing that , especially when disease is a concern. I''ve also tried several different electronic devices and none of them worked either. I've taken brewers yeast, I always take B Vitamins and neither seems to help. I avoid Deet because I am hypersensitive to all kinds of chemicals - I even have to be careful of herbs. Which is why I was interested in the way to strenghten one's aura. If anyone does hear of a way to do that I would be delighted if they would share it with me - siobhanmac Love and thanks, Avtar Kaur. ______________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
>Daer Avtar Kaur, In Yogi Bhajans book " The masters touch" there is a meditation for the aura. Every day our aura is in constant contact with the world, and can get a little dirty. What i do every morning after sadhana, is mentally clean it, passing my hands and rubbindg around me as if it is an imaginary window. excersise helps a bunch too. love, Siri gopal kaur _______________ Descargue GRATUITAMENTE MSN Explorer en http://explorer.msn.es/intl.asp
Guest guest
I knew a Shone/Cherokee Shaman named Rolling Thunder. Mosquitoes would be an annoyance to everyone but none were bothering him. I remember some Buddhist saying "even mosquitoes carry away bad karma". It was in the context of all life experience serving in the process of the destruction of our limiting mortal delusions. Siobhan MacMahon wrote: > Thank you everyone for your replies and suggestions. This is the 10 breaths excursus. You do all 10 stages (5 inhale, 5 exhale) 3 times, at least, in a row. It is very important to be very relaxed, to find your own natural pace and to do all the exercise effortlessly. 1 - Breath in: draw breath from the base of the spine, along the spine, and up to the crown (or to the 8th chackra). 2 - Breath out: release the air down the front of the face throat, and abdomen, back to the base of the spine. 3 - Breath in: draw breath from the base of the spine up and forward, to the belt buckle (the Hara), split the breath back align the belt line, and draw it up along the spine, splitting it around the shoulder blade and using it to expand the shoulders forward. 4 - breath out: let the air flow out along the back of the hands. 5 - breath in: draw air through the palms of the hand, bringing it to the front of the chest, and splitting it to the shoulders, using it to expand the shoulders rearwards. 6 - Breath out - allow the air to flow from the shoulders, to merge around the throat, to flow down along the chest and belly, to split in front of the genitals and to flow down along the front of the legs. 7 - Breath in - draw air from the bottom of the feet, along the rear of the legs, to the buns, to the back, and along the belt line to the front, drawing it up to the heart, BUT NOT HIGHER. 8 - Breath out - allow the air to flow down, into the base of the spine. 9 - Breath in: draw air from the base of the spine to the belly, allowing it to stretch the belly and internal organs. 10 - Breath out: allow the air to expel, as if forming a skirt of air and setting down to the ground. Have fun! Ronen.
Guest guest
Sat Nam, I'm pretty sure that the most ancient scriptures allow one to protect oneself if their health is at risk: mosquitos do carry life threatening diseases. Guest guest
One of the things that my friends and I have found really works is Vanilla!!!!! We have been using it for our weekly outdoor community meals and have had great results. Put real vanilla extract (dilute slightly with water) into an atomizer and spray yourself frequently. It's a lovely smell and is not toxic. Sat Nam, gwen
Guest guest
Tthank you all so much ! I'm going to try the vanilla and the aura strenghtening and breathing exercises and will let you know the results. During my meditation today I talked to the insects, mentally clearing a space around me and told them to stay out of it, assuring them I meant them no harm. We'll see what happens ! This works well. Also essential oil of citronella. Who knows what you will attract with Vanilla, citronella and Skin so Soft. Guest guest
Dear Stephen, Well , I don't know either, so I'm willing to give it a go. I was thinking more of the energy field around me - we all give out vibes all the time and I'm quite sure other creatures bsides ourselves feel them. I was thinking if I can clear a space around myself that says - keep out - that it is possible insects and other creatures will sense it and keep out. Perhaps it has to do with the strength of one's personal power ? I do also know that insects are attracted to certain people and it is probably becasue a scent that their body releases. What one can do about that I don't know. Love, Avtar K ______________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Join Juno today!
