Guest guest
Dear Gururattan ji, i have just read some of the lessons on your classes website, and i am totally confused about what to start with..the sppinal exercises , the nabhi kriya or the silent mediattion or the brainwave...or is it like i have to go lesson by lesson, one after another, practising each lesson( set of kriyas or meditation) for a certain number of days and then move on the the next set/ lesson.please clear my doubts on this as i am serious about doing kudalini yoga and want to start it at the earliest... your lessons and constant guidelines in have been very encouraging and helpful.thankyou so much once again...i am eager to see the changes in my self... your sincerely, Preeti Make a great connection at Personals. http://personals. Guest guest
when I started doing daily yoga (sadhana), I did Nhabi Kriya pretty consistently, after a few warm ups. It is a good set, very physical. I started with half the recommended time on the first two parts (5 min and then 2 1/2 minutes, instead of 10 min and 5 min), and then worked my way up to the full times (using a watch or a timer). For a beginning routine, this worked for me. Maybe it will work for you as well. Good luck. Guest guest
Dear Preeti and beginners, Start with spinal exercises, then the nabhi kriya Complete the set with a meditation like silent mediattion or the brainwave meditation. The idea of doing silent meditation first is to track the changes you make over time. This is an on going meditation Ideally you practice each kriya and meditation for 40 days and then move on. Spinal flexes are a good warm up everyday no matter what set or meditation you are doing. Have you read www.kundaliniyoga.org thoroughly? It has a lot of instructions for beginners. Guest guest
Sat Nam, Preeti, I can echo Gururattan and Thomas regarding what has been helpful to me in establishing a practice. Nabhi Kriya is one of the first kriyas I learned, and I keep doing it. I've begun the brainwave meditation, and do that after doing a kriya. I don't necessarily do nabhi kriya every day -- sometimes I do different kriyas -- but I continue to do the brainwave meditation every day. I learned from what Gururattan said: "Ideally you practice each kriya and meditation for 40 days and then move on." I also learned from what Thomas said about working up to the full recommended times for the different parts of nabhi kriya. Chris B
