Guest guest
And Thank you Dharam, Sorry about that 'lapsus'. I think R.T was a combination of all the great Healers of the past and actually, was considered as the greatest psychic in America. I did not have the chance to meet him in person, but only got his vibes through the innumerous feedback by Dr Elmer Green and Dr Norman Shealy, both founders of Energy Medecine. What amazed me most while reading the book, was the immense compassion and capacity that he had and emanated to his surroundings and to those who surrounded him. And above all, the amazing thing to witness is, the complete transformation of the author himself, Doug Boyd, by then familiar with the world of energies with his encounter with Swami Rama(I'd love to the Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania, one day!!!). Ironically enough, I met with a lady in one of the oddest places in NYC, last year, and have become friends, and this summer, to my utter surprise, was the last one to be initiated in the Soshone/Cheerokee tradition and was the one to ask for a prayer at the Temple of Sri Gurumayi. Apparently, since they have put his photo on the altar of the same temple. Another question about Diabetes, I am perplexed at the fact that many Healers/Spiritual Leaders have this ailment. In Energy Medicine, there has been numerous inputs about the cause of this illness. One such input is that this is an imbalance of the Solar Plexus - Chakra = the transmutation of the Self (Ego) to unconditional love, compassion. Like you said : R.T devouring the demons transmuting them into sweetness. And the antidote to this is the repressed resentment( therefore no sweetness at all), thus causing the imbalance in the hormonal secretions which as result causes this same illness. Difficult to understand and digest the dichotomies of the human psyche, though! Either too much or not enough sweetness triggers this illness, it seems to me. I will be interested to know which is the best kriya for people with such health conditions, please, if you do not mind. Well, thank you for the rectification and giving me the chance to discuss about R.T, one of the masters that I regret of not having met. But my friend Dianne is here now, so may be.... Blessings to you all, Sat Nam, Chama.
Guest guest
Thank you Chama. The author was Doug Boyd (you said David Boyle). He also wrote a book about Swami Rama which I read. He spoke of R.T. (that's what we used to call him) as having "perfect poise" and of Swami Rama as having "perfect wisdom". I never saw such organic coolness in a human being before or since then. He was in a state of constant "devouring" of his demons....converting that karma into sweetness. He welcomed the toxic, faced it head-on and showed us all, by his actions, how to do it. It was a vigilance like that spoken of by Carlos Castaneda, where Don Juan says that a warrior must be impeccable. In his Shoshone nation (he was born Cherokee) he was called upon for healings and as a spokesman for native causes including the destruction of the environment (pinon trees). He had to go through several trials by his people to "certify" that his medicine was still coming from the "good" side. The trial was being put in a pit of rattlesnakes where he was bit numerously. (I imagine that mosquitoes weren't even a bother at such a point). If he was able to transmute the poison into something harmless to his system then he still had a job. He never failed. It was age and diabetes that caught up with him in January '98. He was around 82 years. Guest guest
Dharam, It is just beautiful and yes, the knowledge is tremendous! Thank You for everything! I am taking note of the addresses of his wife and the advice about the cassettes. I know about the INSSSEEM - am interested in all their conferences as Norm(my mentor is the actual President). The challenge is the travel costs every year and the cumulative w/shop fees that all interest me as I am working on the doctoral program. The best option is to talk to Dianne and find out about the temple(I do not know the exact location). I'll send you her email off-list, may be? Thanks again, Sat Nam Chama
Guest guest
His medicine was strong and true. I have many feelings, thoughts and expressions from that time ('77 - '80). More than I can put in words at this time, still. I can say one thing (since you brought up Gurumayi) that relates to my experience with R.T. I had this tremendous sense in the month's after I left Rolling Thunder's community in Carlin, NV. that some intelligence had "gotten into" me. It is real hard to describe. It was the same year I did KY for the first time and that was still unfolding. This intelligence was tenacious and weighed on me and as I started to acknowledge it I began to know some things. One thing it was saying was being truthful and simply being was the only way out from underneath this stone. I have come to know the stone as Love and not in the light and happy, hollywood sense. Real love is far from romance. In the early nineties I asked Gurumayi (http://www.siddhayoga.org./) how a westerner with all their liberal attitudes toward sex and whatnot approach the kundalini. She responded through her interpreter that the "kundalini will just slap you around until you get it". Hunh! That is pretty much my experience. But it was R.T. who really cut through my ego/defence and touched my heart. It wasn't pretty, I was embarrassed but his poise even while delivering the payload to my "ego" was astonishing. You had to be there. I want to know more about this temple in NYC. Also, Meninger is not a resource at this time but you can get tapes and stuff directly from his family. Cassette tapes of him speaking are available through his wife, Carmen Sunrising Pope, Box 699, Carlin, Nevada 89822. Also, "Returning to Right Relationship with Rolling Thunder & Running Wolf" is available for a $25 donation from: Gadohi Usquanigodi Native American Spiritual Center, P.O. Box 1810, Ranchos de Taos, N.M. 87557 (505) 751-1081 Additionally, Dr. Elmer Green, who conducted extensive research in this area at Menninger. He would be contacted at : International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine ISSSEEM Central Office 11005 Ralston Rd., #100D Arvada, CO 80004 (303) 425-4625 - office (303) 425-4685 - fax email address: issseem web page: http://www.issseem.org/ Dharam chamarel28 wrote: > And Thank you Dharam, > > Sorry about that 'lapsus'.
