Guest guest Posted October 18, 2001 Report Share Posted October 18, 2001 Ann, I have been doing the Medical Meditation for Habituation since I began my healing work in January of 2000 (about 1 year to go before I make 1000 days). I began with 11 minutes and worked up to 31. I definitely think it has made changes in my brain. I have found that it is helped to eliminate both the need and the desire to drink. I think many who find they can stay away from their addiction haven't actually overcome the desire for it, and I think this meditation works on doing just that. I don't claim to be free of all addictions; I have clung to some FOOD ones, but that is because of the choice of my own ego, not the effectiveness of the meditation.
