I am taking a course in Tibetan history and the teacher told us of a meditative practice called "tumo" where monks generate intense body heat. It is said that they would soak their clothes in water and go out in the feezing cold air of the Himalayas and in a matter of time could dry the clothes from their own body heat generated from this practice.... the description he was giving sounded alot like Kundalini... does anyone know if it is the same or similar? thanks! It certainly is a kundalini yoga practice with root lock, mantra and vizualization techniques. The book that best describes this practice is "The Bliss of Inner Fire" by Lama Thubten Yeshe.
