Dear Priti,

 

Thanks for reply. I know your problem but you should

be

happy about it you will laugh on me won't you but it

is

true whatever you are feeling the lack of

concentration

and not able to maintain good habits, lot of thoughts

these things clearly tells that you have a very good

conciessness which is telling you to fight your habits

and to go deeper within yourself. Very few people have

this kind of conciessness you are very lucky. look

around yourself how many people wants to be truely

free. You can count these people on your fingers. So

among millions of people you are among few who try to

be free. So first of all stop feeling sorry for

yourself you should infact feel happy and thankful to

life about it.

 

Secondly you should not be afraid of thoughts. People

say that for meditation you need to be Silent but

nobody can teach silence to anybody. You will be

silent when you will realize that you are the source

of evey thought. Trace your thoughts and they will

always take yourself to you. Don't be afraid of

thoughts and don't try to Calm your mind by turning

thoughts away. (What I am telling you is Certainly

opposite of various books and Gurus tell you but what

I am telling is from practical experiences). Don't be

unconcious about thoughts if you do that all the

thoughts would attack you. But look for thoughts. Do

it

now stop reading, close you eyes and look for thoughts

See if there is any thought you have.

If I am right I know that all the thoughts would have

disappeared from your mind. Whenever you will look for

thought they will go away and you will be silent. Try

to remain silent as long as you can slowly this will

become a habit. See remaing silent is so easy.

 

If you want to give up bad habits control your desires

or any other emotions. The first thing you have to

realize is that habits are emotions and like emotions

they can be control. Suppose you smoke then don't plan

that from now on you won't smoke but say to yourself

when you rise early in morning just for today I won't

smoke. You will see that each day when you promise

yourself then even if you break it your self will

fight with you and eventually it will win because it

is strong more strong then you know it to be.

 

I am from Lucknow. My parents are living there. I am

presently living in Gurgaon and working as an

executive in DCM. I have one sister she is married. I

am unmarried (Plan to remain this way).

 

 

Sorry for writing such a long reply but I had to tell

you that there is no need to be desperate about

anything. you are not alone. Learn to love yourself

because I don't care about your bad habits or

emotional disturbances or whatever it is I know that

your self is beautiful and right now at the present

instance you are not giving it the respect it

deserves.

 

It is not easy to meditate when you see others around

you following and living in there old world and old

ideas. You ask yourself that am I right In leaving all

these things. you are saddened because you feel

yourself lonly and lost. Remember preeti you have made

a choice now don't look around but jump and you will

know that your fears were just your imagination.
