Guest guest
There is a Navajo prayer which I find very healing for grief, it helps me find blocked areas in relationships and my past and get through them, it's not yoga but its blessing I feel is universal: Say each line three times and concentrate on what is in the parenthesis, these additions are mine, you may find others are better: I walk in beauty (harmony-present) I walk in beauty before me (future) I walk in beauty behind me (past) I walk in beauty above me (ancestors) I walk in beauty below me (connection to earth) I walk in beauty to the east (birth, creation) I walk in beauty to the west (life-fire) I walk in beauty to the north (wisdom, lessons) I walk in beauty to the south (love, beauty) say once: It is done in beauty If I have a block, I will get lost in memories and thoughts, I used to fight them and try to finish the prayer but now I go with them and release them. I try to do this outside or facing the rising sun. My elderly aunt did this before her bypass surgery and she said it calmed her, it also helped her come to term with things in her past. I hope this helps, grief really does enrich you, I appreciate everything so much more and I can be happy with little blessings. walk in beauty, cris
