It is the energy/vibration of spirit and the saints and sages through the ages have codified them so that we ordinary folks can have a direct experience of the/our divine nature. Gurucharam Singh has put together a small book on the Shabd Guru. It is part of the Kundalini Teachers Training course. > > Or, is your use of sound in the form of chants? Yes, chanting, meditating reading the Banis. > > > I saw that some of the chants are Sanskrit words. Do you, also, use > overtone chants? There is no overtone chanting that I know of in the Kundalini tradition that we practice. But it is a small world. Amritsar (spiritual home of Sikhs) is less than 150 miles (a very inexpensive taxi ride in rupees) from Dharamsala (home of the exiled Dalai Lama) Buddhists and various healers do the overtone chanting but "if the spirit moves you, let it groove you".........
