Guest guest
I am currently mid way through a 40 day set of the 5 part kiria called the Sobaugh Kriya to bring prosperity. I find that I am weeping as I do most of the individual components. Especially those using the Har chant. Any guesses from anyone as to causes? I can't hazard a guess, but can report that something similar has happened to me. I began the Brainwave Meditation 11/22, and about a week ago broke into spontaneously laughter during the meditation. Not just a giggle -- big belly laughs. I'd been pumping my navel center during the mantra, and this seemed connected with the laughing. For several minutes I felt like a one-person laughing club. Then the laughter subsided and I continued on my way. The laughing hasn't happened since. Anyone else had an experience like Di's or mine? The basic cause is a release and processing of blocked energy that gets expressed as weeping or laughing. KY meditations often work this way. The same thing happened to me years ago. I start to sob and as quickly as I started, I stopped. The emotional reason might appear in your consiousness at another time or it might not. If you are supposed to know, you will get the information. If not you will not know and it doesn't matter. I personally try to be as present as possible without searching or analyzing. My awareness is deeper and the integration is more complete that way. Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur

Guest guest
Dear Chris, I am not sure about others. What I can say about that for myself is when that happens it is the most wonderful thing in the world. I know that some times I am letting go of things in myself I no longer want. Most the time I can feel the love of the presence in it every time that I cry in meditation. I hope that your experience was just as wonderful. love and peace Siri Devta Kaur Sat Nam &nbsNamChris B wrote: Di wrote, "I am currently mid way through a 40 day set of the 5 part kiriacalled theSobaugh Kriya to bring prosperity."I find that I am weeping as I do most of the individual components.Especially those using the Har chant. Guest guest
And of course, the meditations where nothing spectacular happens, but where you still expect nothing, lay the groundwork for those occasional times where release is more profound. You are building a trusting relationship with your inner self. By seeking nothing but just being present for what is, you show your mind/body that it is safe to just be. This is where spontaneous expressions come from, after all - unedited manifestations of self. No?
Guest guest
I appreciate everyone's responses and insights into weeping/laughing during meditation. Siri Devta Kaur wrote, "I know that some times I am letting go of things in myself I no longer want." I felt some sense of letting go, too. While I was laughing, words from a Joni Mitchell song popped into my mind: "Laughing and crying, you know, it's the same release." Gururattan Kaur said, "The emotional reason might appear in your consiousness at another time or it might not. If you are supposed to know, you will get the information. If not you will not know and it doesn't matter. I personally try to be as present as possible without searching or analyzing." Her words reminded me of past emotional releases I've experienced (e.g., during work with an energy healer) and how I would get fascinated by the release itself. I would want the same strong, moving experience again, and began to approach the work with the goal of achieving a particular sensation. In the long run, this reduced my energy work, meditation, etc, to an attempt to recapture what had happened before. But it doesn't work that way. It's taken me a long time to figure that out. Meditations since the laughing episode have been unspectacular by comparison, but I've come to value all meditation periods, even those that seem difficult, routine or disconnected.
