Perhaps others could advise or suggest a book. You may also find the Buddhist approach helpful. One of the teachings current meditation teachers give is not to run away from the things you don't like in yourself, a couple of links for you to browse and see if you find anything helpful. http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/6774/metta.htm#ayya http://www.shambhala.org/teachers/pema/know.html Love Frances

Start by loving yourself enough to do an hour of KY and meditation everyday. Plenty to choose from in our KYtraining lessons. Then as you practice love the feelings and sensations in your body. Cultivate self love this way. Be very systematic and attentive. It works. SAt Nam, Gururattan Kaur
Guest guest
For self love try this simple meditation. Lie flat on your back with arms by your sides, palms facing up. Alternately kiss the palms of your hands. Lift one palm to your lips, kiss the middle of it and lie it back down. Repeat on the other side. continue this way indefinitely, but try 3 to 5 minutes to start. Let me know what happens. I like to listen to Yogi Bhajan's tape "Patience Pays" when I do this, but you don't have to.
Guest guest
Sat Nam, After you do the meditation recommended by Kartar Kaur which is included below, put your hands on your heart and listen to your heart. Turn your attention to your own listening. Any time you need guidance, confirmation, acceptance or advise listen to your own heart. Practice until you no longer look outside yourself for approval, advise or permission. Then you will accept and love yourself. SAt Nam, Gururattan Kaur > For self love try this simple meditation.
