Sat Nam Priya,

Before I say anything, I must say that you are the world authority on you. No

one knows you better than yourself.

That having been said I can relate my personal experiences. I have recently

been dealing with effects of "Whiplash". I was hit from the rear while driving.

I am having some heaviness and spaciness in my head and an

occasional headache which is unusual for me. My neck, shoulders and back ain't

what they used to be. It has been a learning for me. Some of my observations

follow.

Brainwaves must become chaotic and complex to relax. We spend a lot of time

trying to relax but often it is going to the opposite polarity for a short,

energetic intense time that will get us the desired result or

releasing the "dis - ease". Working with Beta waves (the normal level of our

brain during sensory input and mental activity) is useful for many relaxed

states. One way of doing this is to relax our tongue. Relaxing our

tongue is relaxing to our mind. When we think, we have a tendency to talk to

ourselves. Even if we are not aware of this sub-vocalization out tongue will

feel tense, ready for action when we are thinking. You may

experience this as a gentle pulling at the back of the tongue or may not feel it

at all, but if you relax your tongue completely you cannot talk to yourself,

therefore it is much more difficult to think. (I don't

suggest doing this while operating heavy machinery) Now, one can simply be

still, block every other thing and focus only on the tongue and relaxing it. To

relax the tongue (mouth and jaw) allow it to become short and

fat and feel as though it were floating in the mouth cavity. Stay with this for

a minute or more and experience it for yourself. Yogis will often do Lion

breath, Sitali breath and other extending and twisting actions of

the tongue to get a relaxation response. You can try these as they are very

effective. All in all, when practicing any yoga keep your mouth and tongue

relaxed. Smiling helps a bunch. Enunciating (and not mumbling) our

mantras with exaggerated mouth movements is also key to a profound experience.

Check out kundalini yogakyt21.html as it specifically works with

the brainwaves and the mouth.

If all else fails, the "Kriya for releasing Inner Anger" is wonderful for taking

Beta to a neutral point and worked great for me when I didn't anything else was

working. I did it one time and my head heaviness was over.

I can send you a copy of it. After doing this Kriya, doing some chanting and

then integrate with One Minute Breath for several minutes.

Sat Nam,

Dharam
