Help for Ouch

Sat Nam All,

I wish to thank everyone who responded to my plea for help with my Heart

Chakra Ouch. Dharam Singh, I thought I had gotten rid of all those past

hurts as I too went through the Gestault Therapy thing about 17 years ago.

Apparantly, there is something else I'm holding on to. I have been digging

deeper and looking at things but so far, nothing seems to relate to what I

am experiencing. Maybe I'm holding on so tight that I refuse to let myself

see what I'm holding on to! The odd thing is that I have been having this

very calm, peaceful feeling along with the heaviness. The only thing I can

figure out is that my husband's job has his woking in Georgia for the next 5

to 7 years and we live in Florida. He has moved up there and I will be

following in June. I don't mind the physical seperation as I have no

unrealistic emotional/mental attachments concerning relationships. What I

do find "hard to swallow" is MOVING.

Gururattan; I'm thinking that between Dharam Singh's advice and yours, I

can possibly move this wad out. I need to fully embrace this move and at

the same time remember to take time to breathe. I love the 20-20-20 breath

and did a 40 day practice awhile back. I will start a new one and see if

that helps.

Samantha, I am familiar with Louise Hayes and have some of her writings so I

know the affirmations that you are talking about. Actually, the first thing

I did was look up what a heaviness in the heart chakra meant in her book and

I am following through with the affirmations.

Thank you all three for your wonderful advice. I was sure glad that KY had

not caused the problem.....I did.

By the way, I'm no trouper for getting up at 3:00 am. I have to be at work

at 6:00 am and the only time I have for yoga is at 3:00 am. To be honest, I

would probably sleep til 5:00 am everyday if I could.

Sat Nam,

Mary P.

The only limitations I have are those to myself.

Hi Mary,

It was the Bioenergetic part of the Therapy that moved the blockage in

'77-'78. I probably could have done more Gestalt. The mental patterning

that gave rise to the pain is something I still have to work with. I try not to

let the mind have the last word in my internal dialogue.

Relate to your breath vigilantly throughout the day. Notice when it is

incomplete. Notice when it stalls. Notice whether or not you ever sigh

and just let the breath out. I love the title of that book by Terry McMillan,

"Waiting to Exhale". In Yogic terms if the exhale isn't complete,

small eddys of energy (and CO2) remain in the lungs and this can create a sort

of holding onto stuff. Heart trouble can result. The "Exercise Set

for Lungs and Bloodstream" in "Transitions to a Heart Centered World" will help

realign the heart muscle. I makes you confront the mental by

pushing your pranic capacity. Breath and mind are intricately connected.

Also, I really like "GRK's Circulation, Strengthening the Heart & Immune System"

set on pg. 62 of "Transitions...". I add 3-5 minutes of Archer on

each with Breath of Fire just before the frogs. The gazing allows me, my mind

and the infinite to come together and it sets up a new and strong

perspective for dealing with what the frogs poses will bring up. The I do 3-5

minutes of frogs can really resolve the emotional-sexual heaviness.

Digestion loves this, also.

Also, you might consider Badminton or racquetball. It's good for discharging

pent up energy in the heart/chest. Relax and go silent afterward.

These sports are real good for men in general.

Go to see/or rent sappy movies. A good cry is a luxury many of us don't give

ourselves.

Have fun,

Dharam

P.S. Going to NYC for a few days and wont have easy access to the list.
