Guest guest
I tore my knees up roller-blading, now I have to walk a lot to keep them pain-free. If I am keeping them limber and warm, I can then manage a minute or two on knees doing a cat cow, etc but wow -sometimes it has me limping for a week! Some positions just don't seem to have an alternative, I was considering doing them on the bed, but would that defeat the purpose? Any alternatives for bad knees, anyone come up with a work around? -cris Cris Naugle SpiralXdesign, Inc http://www.spiralxdesign.com Walk in Beauty
Guest guest
Dear Cris, > minute or two on knees doing a cat cow, etc but wow -sometimes it has me limping for a week! Cat cow can be modified to do standing up. > Some positions just don't seem to have an alternative, I was considering doing them on the bed, but would that defeat the purpose? No if you can do it or put pillow under knees. > Any alternatives for bad knees, anyone come up with a work around? Don't hurt yourself. Do something else that works for you and relax and enjoy what you can do. Or do it internally with the breath. Even small movements with the breath are powerful. Guest guest
I was away for a long weekend, thank you Gururattan! I've been doing the lessons for over two months now and I am starting to really notice benefits, one I shouldn't mention (feel free to wag fingers) I drove 750 miles for an anniversary party, drank too much champagne, ate rich food and then the next day drove home. Normally, I would feel horrible but since I've been eating right -I woke up at 5:30, felt great -did my spinal exercises and drove home! Since, I am in my mid-forties; I am very thrilled that I can occasionally act like I'm 20 and not suffer like I'm 90! -cris Cris Naugle SpiralXdesign, Inc http://www.spiralxdesign.com Walk in Beauty
Guest guest
You can do the cat-cow standing up. If this does not hurt your knees try it this way-- squat a little with knees bent, support your upper body with your hands just above the knees--flex and breathe as you would doing cat-cow on your knees.
