Definitely sounds like peri-menopause. Chinese herb stores have great herbs to reduce this heat. Also Plus by Manicol. It is a multilevel and a bit expensive but really works well. Also liquid yam extract. Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur
Guest guest
Have you had your thyroid checked. It is not uncommon for women who are menopausal to have this. Many times it is undiagnosed. An easy way to check to see if your thyroid is functioning properly is to take an axillary temp BEFORE you get out of bed. Have the thermometer handy. Place in armpit and wait 10 min. do this for a few days in a row. If your temp is below 97.8 you probably have a thyroid condition and may want to check it out further. Guest guest
Dear Cathy, If it is menopause, here is what worked for me. [i consider myself an expert - 5 years of menopausal symtoms!]: Lots of tofu. I found my diet was the biggest determinant of whether or not I had hot flashes. Getting enough sleep, generally anything that reduced stress helped. There are many herbal and homeopathic remedies. I never found one which worked for me, but I would still suggest trying that. But tofu definitely did the trick for me. Good luck. Kartar Kaur -
Guest guest
Thanks, I'm already eating a lot of tofu and take a protein powder daily made from soy, along with soy milk. My feeling is this is kundalini, and the sleep problem is due to stress, though it's not resolved with meditation prior to bedtime, nor is exercise during the day, or anything else. My gut tells me it's due to kundalini knots going thru the chakras and it's a symptom of my relationship "challenges" over the last year. nasmaste, cathy -- In Kundaliniyoga, "rasheedaas" <rasheedaas> wrote: > Dear Cathy, > If it is menopause, here is what worked for me. Guest guest
More menopause advice. some women swear by oatstraw. Can be taken as an extract or tea.

I haven't had night sweats or a hot flash since and it's relatively inexpensive. You can e-mail me directly for information on where to get it.
