Guest guest
That is a warning to all of us to not pull extension cords off without unplugging the source of electricity first... I'm so glad you survived this experience! Deanna ~*~ The Prayer Of The Dog Lord, I keep watch! If I am not here who will guard their home? Watch over their sheep? Be faithful? No one but You and I understands what faithfulness is. Il n'y a que Vous et moi pour comprendre ce que c'cest que la fidelite! Lord, do not let me die until, for them, all danger is driven away. ~*~ Prayers From The Ark @( ~ ~ )@ and Nizhoni Tipsoo @=@

I was removing an extension cord from the toaster on the brick patio and the cheapshit connection came somewhat, loose in my hand. I was barefoot on what seemed to be dry brick so I think both leads must have made contact with my hand. No one could hear my screams and my hand would not let go of the cord. My whole body was kicking and bucking as I was trying to pull my self away but I was frozen. Luckily I jerked violently enough to pull the head off the cord and hand slid off the end of the cord. If my hand didn't slip past the head I do believe I would have died or least been hospitalized. The electrical system over here is 240 volts, not the 110 volt system we are used to in the US. My brain had a very unusual warmth today while easing my way through yoga. It felt really quite nice! Hmmmmmmm.... Maybe Electroconvulsive therapy is good. I know of a young girl who died many years ago from an electrical shock in India. It's maybe my salvation that I had laughed to the point of tears just minutes before and my Sadhana was strong. My system was able to handle this current without permanent damage...I think. I must admit that I am in another zone for the time being.
