Guest guest
Dharam Singh, I'm thankful that you are OK and still keeping up with youngsters on the court. I value your input to this list so very much! Your experience reminded me of the death of Thomas Merton the great modern Christian Mystic who died stepping out of a shower and touching an electric fan. I always pictured his death in my mind as like the agony/ecstasy imagery in great Christian art of extremely intense communion with God as in the sculpture, The Ecstasy of St Theresa. Electricity is such an intense concentration of power. Your experience is a good reminder for all of us to respect that power. Just look at the power of our global communication via these electric gadgits we all use called computers! Sat Nam, Devinderjit
Guest guest
Dear Devinderjit, I am glad this busy(Vata Pitta) mind is of some use and service to others and thanks to you for being part of this community. That's intense about Merton. Where I am now there is this Umongous, 240 volt fan right outside the shower. I have quite conscious of it's prescence and any moisture on the floor. Something will be done about this. Another thing, for the week preceding my shock I had been really taking in my inhales during my practice. Almost distorting my face to draw in more prana/chi. I wanted to increase my capacity to hold the moment and life in general. This was inspired by a National Geographic special on Qigong. Things that make you go "hmmmmm....."
