Guest guest Posted March 28, 2002 Report Share Posted March 28, 2002 Hi to All I know we have a lot of new rs, but even among those of you who have been around long enough to know how this list operates, I have noticed a huge deterioration in posting standards over the last few days. Too many folk are not editing their replies, to keep quoting to the minimum necessary to give context to what they wish to add to the debate, and even worse, are not removing old message footers. One of the pre-requisites for new rs to be taken off moderated status is to be able to demonstrate an ability to follow our posting rules. The fewer folk that are on moderated status, the less work there is to do around here for both myself and my assistants. We are all very busy with other things and donate our time freely for the upkeep of this list. I can allow for the fact that all of us can forget to edit replies occasionally - if we are busy and have a lot of things on our minds, or are concentrating on getting the message in the reply just right - but those who forget too often will find themselves back on moderated status. We have well over 1000 rs now - please just stop and think about them, and about our guidelines for just a few seconds before you hit that Send button. Sat Nam!
