Guest guest
Hey Dharam! Be careful, will you? I'm really glad you didn't completely fry yourself. I think I saw a glow in the night sky when your plane landed in Boston. That is some aura! Blessings, Kartar
Guest guest
Hey Sat Kartar, Thanks for thoughts. Not smokin' or glowing anymore. You know...sometimes things happen to us that seem extreme but as Yogiji has said that it would have been much worse or lethal if we didn't meditate. It's like we are not so governed by the gross and hence we only take a portion of the possible consequence. Maybe I was supposed to die? Maybe I've cleared enough karma so that wasn't necessary. God knows! I can't say. Less than 300 miles away was bombing in Kabul and Pakistan is 15 miles from Amritsar. Not to mention I am from the South Bronx where many of my childhood friends have already left this life. One thing I can say is that I do as much as I can in my practice to clear myself and keep centered and the rest has to come from the unknown. The Christians call it Grace. Sikhs call it Guru Prasad. It can't be gotten by one's own efforts. It has to come from outside. The electrical shock did something to me that felt like a clearing of a kind. My mind is not much in the drivers seat. For instance, I am much more likely to admit to myself that I am tired and it's time to go to bed even if it's only 8pm (I am the original night owl) This is big for me and just one of a number of differences. I'm feeling my moon side a lot more. Let's see where this goes. Sat Nam, Dharam - <Kartar001 <Kundaliniyoga> Thursday, April 04, 2002 9:44 PM re: electrocution > Hey Dharam! Be careful, will you? Guest guest
Hi Dharam, May I share your message with my family and friends? Aside from yoga, why are parents all over the world not teaching peacemaking instead of peacebreaking? I have asthma back again and it may be because I live near the ocean and it is humid, damp, windy or some combination, every single day! Does anyone have any new ideas for getting over a tight upper chest? I use the neti pot to clean out my sinuses, use expectorant for the congestion in my chest, have had to take Intal Inhaler now and still I am not better yet. Never smoked and I can only guess that the only cure for me is to move away from this island. Guest guest
Hi Deanna, I've had asthma for years, and developed it in a part of the Northwest that is infamous for causing respiratory problems. I've controlled mine using a wonderful herbal remedy from Health and Herbs called Asthma Formula, #14. 1800 345-4152. www.healthherbs.com. The suggested dose is on the bottle, but if that doesn't work you can try more - I use three dropperfuls. They told me this is because it contains lobelia which some people are sensitive to, and so need very little. Others like me need a lot. I've been using this for twelve years and have only had to resort to an inhaler about a half dozen times in that period. I've used a second dose after fifteen mins, but never needed more. Some people are just more sensitive to their environment that others. It's been hard for me to come to terms with this, but I've finally accepted it. I do meditations for my immune system, try to keep healthy and try to be aware of my triggers. In my case there is definitely an emotional component at times, but at other times it is definitely climatic and allergic. The positive side has been learning to be very aware and in tune with my body. There is always a positive side if you are willing to be open to it. Hope this helps, Much love, Avtar ______________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Join Juno today! Guest guest
Hi Avtar, Your suggestion is very helpful, I haven't tried this herb yet!!!! I also have a very emotional make-up unfortunately that is easily upset and right now I am at the 'cross-roads' of my life; an empty nester, 4 children far away at school, too busy for me, broke my wrist in two places two years ago and because of the resultiing swelling of my arm (an idiot bone doctor), it took two years for it to heal, no extended family, isolated on the island with no car, wanting to 'jump-start' into a brand new life where I will feel safe, contented, loved and 'at home'. So I have a lot of mountains to climb and I need to be able to breath deeply and do my yoga and meditation... Yes, the air has been extra humid and our weather is changing here on the East Coast of USA. Don't you wish people would stop polluting and stop 'killing' our Earth, Mother to us all? I find myself an 'alien' in my world, hoping people become enlightened to what they are doing. So nice to find like-minded people here, so glad my son taught me how to use a computer before he went off to school! It really opened up my world a lot. Thanks so much Avtar!
