Guest guest
Sat Nam, and welcome Val, We've been expecting you. Tell me what did you learn on your 'time away'? Just kidding. Are there any Kundalini classes near you? Brad
Guest guest
In a message dated 4/22/02 10:27:16 PM Eastern Daylight Time, > > > Are there any Kundalini classes near you? ~~There may be - I'd have to do some digging, and make some phone calls. I live in a rather conservative area of the Northeast US where the word "Kundalini" is rarely spoken. There are several books available, which I have perused ... I am uncertain to unleash further "power" without the requisite knowledge/understanding of the possible "chaotic" effects, so I am reading about it, and tuning myself more to it. Simultaneously, there is much turmoil occurring in my relationship with my husband. ~~~~~~~~ Tell me what did you learn on your 'time away'? ~~Time is an illusion, so I do not regret the "time away." I cherish all that I now have, and all that I now do NOT have. During my "time away" I was not myself, I was not allowed (by myself and by others) to BE myself. An injury to my back 5 years ago resulted in my Kundalini (re-) awakening. Although I live with the physical injury and its effects daily, I am ever grateful for the subsequent results of rediscovering myself. peacefully, Val

Guest guest
Val, Welcome. I have been practicing KY for about 3 months now. I am lucky to have classes in my area and attend once a week. I also use a video "Conquering Depression" at home. I turn 47 next month and am just getting out of a long, negative relationship. I have much forgiveness, healing, and growth to do. Practicing KY has already made such a difference. Guest guest
Hello, I am a new member also and also live in the northeast (NH). For years I pacticed Hatha yoga on and off on my own. About a year ago a book about kundalin yoga (The Eight Talents) fell into my attention at a book store and since that time I wanted to find out more. I purchased a second book by DK libraries which has much pracice info but I really felt like I was missing something especially in regards to chanting. This prompted me to search fo a class in my area and although the closest one is almost an hour away,I recently joined a class. I think sigtning up was one of the best things that I have done for myself. I found the class by contacting a teacher on this list 3HO International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. There is also a wonderful site for training on the web KUNDALINI YOGA - Try our FREE On-Line Training for Beginners - You'll be Amazed! I am looking forward to sharing and learning from all members on this list! Guest guest
Hi Cheryl Welcome to the Kundalini Yoga List. I hope that you will enjoy your time with us, and find our discussions useful in the development of your practice. >I found the class by contacting a teacher on > this list 3HO International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. There is > also a wonderful site for training on the web KUNDALINI YOGA - Try our FREE > On-Line Training for Beginners - You'll be Amazed! The second link is to our own site! :-) Thanks for the plug! I just want to point out to non-AOL members (the majority of our rs) that AOL have their own non-conventional way of doing things. To get these links to work, you need to take away everything outside of the quote marks - therefore KUNDALINI YOGA - Try our FREE > On-Line Training for Beginners - You'll be Amazed! becomes simply kundalini yoga (AOL rs don't see the quote marks - they see a link which says: KUNDALINI YOGA - Try our FREE On-Line Training for Beginners - You'll be Amazed!)
