Guest guest
I had started the RaMaDaSa in December, when my mom passed away and didn't want to stop doing it when I went to visit. I took my CD with me, but their player wasn't working, so I had to chant it without any music. My nephew didn't feel comfortable with my doing it, so I positioned myself in the room farthest from his room, and chanted it softly before bedtime, so as not to disturb him. It still worked for me, though when I got home, I do chant it louder some days, and softer on other days. Yes, chanting louder the better feels good to me, but a silent mantra works at least to keep the mind clear. Maybe using headphones and doing it when no one is around or chanting softly is an alternative. I also found that chanting with a group of people is even more fun. That's how I was introduced to it, but it was Sanscrit chants with Sai Baba groups and other groups in their homes or at a yoga class, or even a teacher who comes into town for one special workshop of chanting. I love chanting so much that it doesn't matter what kind of chanting it is. I used to chant alone on occasion by myself, but it didn't give me the same joy as with a group. Perhaps you can find such a group that brings you joy. namaste, cathy Tax Center - online filing with TurboTax http://taxes./
Guest guest
Hi to All Gurunam's Ra Ma Da Sa CD is very good and a very popular purchase from the www.yogatech.com online store. I would also like to draw everyone's attention to Mata Mandir Singh's version on his Self-Healing CD - part of the Yoga of Sound Series that we are now carrying too, and for something completely different try Guru Singh's version on his Power Mantras CD. Listen to the Real Audio clips to find out for yourselves. Sat Nam!
