Guest guest
I've been doing ky meditations for two months now, the other day while in deep meditation it felt like someone kicked me at the base of my spine, I actually jumped, at first I thought it was a spirit kicked me, since there was no one else in the room but me at 5:30am, but then I realized that the jolt was inside me, could someone please tell me what happened, I don't have a clue...Thanks, Valerie Health - your guide to health and wellness http://health. Guest guest
Hi Valerie, Sat Nam.. AmericanHorse thats interesting, what's the story behind that? Hope I can give you some reassurance until Dharam or Gururattan or Gordon etc.. can give you better one. You said "deep meditation" which meditation and how long? Second, are you feeling anything unusual now? My experience taught me to just listen to your body, if you feel you need to come out of the med, then do it. I pushed through alot of fear during pranayam med, it would manifest just physically not being able to breath, something sitting on my chest. I eventually learned that they were simply harmless body sensations, its all part of the med. I don't to this day know what part was mind tricks, kundalini awakening, harmless body sensations. It doesn't really matter, like I said if you feel you need to come out of the med then just do it, otherwise sweep it aside, or ride it out. I could speculate that since it happened at the base of your spine, that you've got some clearing going on in the root chakra. If you do yoga long enough, or pranayam med like I did, Kundalini awakening is inevitable. Good for you, stay with it. Guest guest
Sat Nam Valerie, I have had a "kick in the head" happened to me. It was real. I had just done a powerful and focussed Tai Chi set. I was on the Subway (NYC) heading home and sat down opposite this woman with beautiful eyes and instead of turning way (which is what folks all over tend to do, not just N'Yorkers) I stayed locked into that gaze and Bam! Both hemispheres of my brain did a "ba'boom". I felt it, it was real! It was sudden and I spent the next few days feeling ancient "stuff". I fell like the collective guilt of humanity was lifted from me...either that or past lives. The thing about past lives is that it is all here-now, if you choose to open those doors. Why did you feel what felt? I can only offer that you are in a very big point in your life. Can I ask what is your age and may be if there are any major circumstances of late going on in your life? As Rich ("ulterium" <) was saying and have to paraphrase "we have situations that make us aware of who we are. When we can let go we have these states of pure awareness when we have a clearing away of an attachment to an identity". This to me is a reconnection with reflex. It is so easy in this culture of facades and politeness to totally smother our reflexes. Remember when doctors used to hit you in your knee with the little hammer to to check your reflex? Well, that's not the only reflex you can have.......... Keep your humility is my best suggestion. Keep your main focus in your heart and navel. Feel your self and expand your calmness in your day to day as there has been a shift, and allow for new possibilities. Meditate and chant early in the morning and before your sleep. There was time many years ago when so much energy was flowing through me that I slept in easy pose for a couple of days, back vertical and against the wall, to facilitate the integration. It wasn't an easy time but it was alive. "It's not just a body, it's an adventure" Sat Nam, Dharam The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don’t go back to sleep. You must ask for what you really want. Don’t go back to sleep. People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch. The door is round and open. Don’t go back to sleep. Guest guest
Sat Nam, Great responses Brad and Dhama Singh. Valerie, your energy is shifting. This time in the first chakra. Stay tuned. Ky is the yoga of experiences. My approach is to stay in the experience moment to moment. Inner awareness is more valuable than an intellectual explanation. Enjoy.
