Guest guest
Sat Nam Everyone, Does anyone have suggestions for very short kriyas or meditations to address (separtately or simultaneously) anxiety and depression? I am blessed to be teaching yoga classes in the offices of several psychologists, and the students (patients) are willing to participate in an outcome study assessing their mental state before and after an eight week daily yogic intervention. Most are new to Kundalini yoga (and yoga in general), and our once a week classes have been ongoing for just 6 weeks. What to use as the (daily) intervention is what we're trying to decide on. Any suggestions on interventions or structure are welcomed. (Participants will keep a daily log of how long and if they did the intervention.) We're using State Trait and the Beck to test pre and post. Any scientists out there who'd like to give us input? Thanks! Guest guest
Dear Angad Kaur I would be very interested to hear how you get on with the work. I am a psychologist and a beginner at KY and I have often thought that KY would be so wonderful for people who are struggling with mental health problems. I know that it has helped me a lot to find some balance and peace. I'm sorry that I don't have any suggestions for your teaching, I'm sure that other more experienced practitioners will be able to help you there. Please let us know how you get on!
