Guest guest
My life has just gone through major upheaval! I turned 50 in March and had a great birthday party. I made a wish on my candles for good health and a new home. Two days later, rent on my little shack went up $120! I told myself, OK, this is the Goddess working in her mysterious ways. Now as of May 1, I am moving out of my dark little hovel and into an apartment where I will have room to leave my yoga mat out all the time! I will even have a shower (hmmm, am I ready for a cold one?) Meanwhile I have had to make more money and all this extra working and moving (into the unknown) situation has been so stressful that I succumbed to my old bad habits & escape mechanisms; smoking pot, watching movies, overeating, (some of which might be OK in moderation but I'm not talking about moderation here) and have not been practicing yoga even though I know everything about my life is better when I do. I'm kind of disgusted with myself. I feel sure that the move will be good and that now it is time for me to focus on the other part of my birthday wish, good health! I'm interested in how other people get back on track after lapses (you do have them don't you?). I always come back to KY and usually with deeper commitment each time. Being in a new space and setting up a yoga area should help. Any thoughts? Do you have a special yoga area? Have you consecrated the space in some way? My entire yoga practice lately has been reading your e-mails! Thank you all for being there. Sat Nam, Devinderjit
Guest guest
I've been going through a lapse too, and part of it has been that I have been doing extremely hard physical work which has taken all my energy. I think getting back on track takes making up one's mind to begin again, giving oneself a schedule to do certain thing,s, and not letting any excuses get in the way. Also accepting that if one is not ready to do that, then there is a reason and not beating oneself up over it. I try to at least do some meditation, and know that when my body is no longer so exhausted I'll able to get back to the sadhana I prefer. Hope this helps, Love and blessings, Avtar ______________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Join Juno today! Guest guest
Kriya for Inner Anger would be something to try. Check out the introductory commentary by Yogiji (in the video of him leading this set he is really pushing buttons) I am attaching a copy of the set. I did it for 96 days back in '89 until my knees starting giving me grief. Press your own buttons, Dharam "FOR INNER ANGER. Inner anger is the basis of inferiority and superiority complexes, manipulation and lying, all skin diseases, misbe-havior, wrong calculation, destruction of business success, and destruction of rela-tionships. Inner anger blocks you from having a relationship with yourself. This set works on the body system to release us from our inner anger." >
