Guest guest
Sat Nam Group, I had my first KY class last night. It felt so good while I was in class. In the end doing corpse for 11min our teacher gonged the entire time. I felt tiny fingers on my arms and forehead, followed by what felt like a few drops in the 3rd eye area. It was so wonderful. After class she gave us all homemade tea with rice milk. So delicious. Then, going home, I felt bad inside, almost ugly. I began to think negatively of the class, that it wasn't physical enough, yada yada. During the night I had mostly bad dreams and two specifically of the teacher. Something about her being evil. I don't think this is the case with her, but how should I know? Then on my way in to work I just felt emotional baggage all around me. I don't know what this means, class is good for me, class is bad for me? Teacher is bad, imagination is hyperactive? I'm really looking forward to advice, suggestions. Guest guest
Sat Nam Oh that's all trivial thoughts which come and will go, please continue your program, it's a bliss for you ! You are changing ! Being emotional the second day is a very good sign it means you are uncovering all your dirt (covering your soul) everybody has more or less feelings at the beginning! These are problems which come at the surface if you let them go you will enjoy serenity peace and strength of nerves ! Just thank your teacher for being so kind to you ! Guest guest
Hi Diane, It is not unusual for there to be a release of negativity after a profound relaxation. In my early experience I think chanting for 11 minutes would have allowed for a fuller integration of my experience. The same applies to this day. Keep up. Guest guest
Sat nam Diane! No worries. I had a similar problem after my first class. I became overwhelmed of feelings like I'd joined a cult or something, was doing ridiculous things in front of other people, practice wasn't physical enough, etc. etc. I realized quickly that this reaction was caused by my own insecurity in trying something new. I was being awakened and I was scared--my negative mind took over and tried to give me excuses to discontinue my practice. Instead, I discussed this all with my teacher and she encouraged breath of fire to incinerate my bad thoughts. It worked. I began at 3 minutes, and now can do 11. As Brad said, the establishment of sadhana will help immensely. My sadhana is an hour a day, and this is definitely where I make the best advances. Kundalini is a gift and there is so much it offers--as we say, if you keep up, you will be kept up. I assure you that you won't have these doubts and negative feelings after your second class! wahe guru ji ka khalsa wahe guru ji ki fateh lanzone
