Guest guest
For the second time within three years, my border collie body slammed me at high speed. I used my right hip to shield myself. Now, my pelvis is all out of whack, and I am in pain. I am having muscle spasms around my right hip and si joints, but the lower back .. I don't think there are any accidents, therefore I wonder why this happens to me--same injury. I haven't read Gurmukh's book, but I have been told she talks about her back going out due to some form of resistance. Any thoughts? Many thanks and blessings, Nirmal Kaur
Guest guest
After receiving an unkind private email from someone on this list tonight, I think I need to clarify my posting regarding accidents. I was not blaming or angry with my dog for hurting my back--she was playing with me. But, I was examining how order governs all things, and that in nature there are no accidents. In a closed system the probability of things happening can be calculated by math and physics. This Universe in which we live is such a closed system. The basic premise being that all things large or small are in motion. The observation of events is recognized as a cause meeting with its outcome (effect). The laws of magnetic attraction are at work here. For example, we call things "accidents" and assign fault or blame when what is really at work is a mistaken thought or action. Accidents can be prevented by decisions (thoughts) made by those involved. We can manage these situations by retracing our thinking preceding an accident. Everywhere we look there is a seeming order in all of the world's machinations and mother nature's occurrences which always tend toward balance and newness. We humans can take some faith and predict for ourselves that on the finest level of living we come equipped to manage our lives. This means we have evolved to successfully interact with the laws and forces in the world/universe. We have the mechanisms to guide our choices and control our actions. I am a yoga teacher, and twice I have had back injuries...I was pondering the law of magnetic attraction at work in my own life. Mail sent to the list is to be replied to on the list, unless it is something that requires a private response, such as a request for specific information from somebody. I take reports such as this most seriously. Anyone who receives any kind of nasty, abusive, or otherwise unwelcome mail in private, in reply to a posting to this list, should bring the matter to my attention - just copy it to kundaliniyoga-owner I will take any action I deem necessary, including removal of posting privileges, and in extreme cases, banishment from the list. I want everyone to feel safe and secure on here to say what they want to, without fear of such off-list harassment. Sat Nam! Gordon
Guest guest
Hello Pam, I wouldn't think so much, these dogs like it to play and sometimes things just happen. And that's all. Hope you will be fine soon With love, Sonja
