My period came three years after I thought I was into menopause. My usual

terrible cramping was preventing me from sleeping and I had to travel the

next day. I found a wonderful set of very common asana that totally

relieved the cramping at 2 am.

1.) Cobra (keep your heels together), On your stomach, push up the front

part of your body with your arms. Arch you neck, don't let your head just

hang back.

2) the boat on your stomach holding your ankles if you can, I like to

rock, but not necessary.

3) forward bend holding toes. Hold the liver point under the webbing of the

big toe and the second toe if you can.

4) the locus where on your stomach you hold you legs up with hands at the

panty line. There is a point at the panty line that is the ovalry point in

accupuncture. I always ache there on the weak side of my body. If you hold

your hands in a fist at the panty line, you will be putting pressure on that

point.

Do long deep breathing. When not in your peiod you can do the breath of

fire with these. Don't do the inverted poses and don't do the cold shower.

Do each for several minutes depending on your physical condition.

I found it in the Grace of God Manual which I loaned to a student and don't

have now.

I think that my period came back because I was doing a very strong kriya

that contained many of the asana that are suggested in the Manual for

maintanace of the sexual system.
