Guest guest
Sat Nam, There is a lot of scary sounding stuff about kundalini in books and on the worldwide web. Much of it has nothing to do with kundalini or relates to the kind of energy disruptions that happen to people when they fool around with energy without knowing what they are doing. That never happens in kundalini yoga when you use ONG NAMO GURU DEV NAMo to open your practice and SAT NAM to end it and you don't do any of the practices for longer than is recommended. On another note, you sound like you have some very powerful parts of yourself that you don't fully understand or have not fully embraced. As you practice KY these parts will begin to surface, but probably in a more gentle way. Don't suppress them. Lean on the people in this forum to help you with what arises and trust that if you want an answer you can ask and it will come from within your self or from your environment. If it is a lot of disturbing emotions that are coming up and they don't seem to be manageable look for a good healer to help you release that. When you practice kundalini yoga, and chant the opening mantra, the teacher is there, so don't worry about that. If you can find a class in your area, all the better. Seva Simran Singh P.S. Guest guest
Sat Nam, WELL SAID, Seva Simran Singh ji! I particularly concur with your advice that Akkama see a good spiritual healer, if one one is available in the area nearby. Beyond what was said, I would only add that if you DO "tune in" and yet continue to have disconcerting experiences, it may be worth your getting in touch with Mukia Singh Sahib Gurucharan Singh Khalsa in Millis, Massachusetts, who is an expert in such things, among many. Beyond that, although I don't know how easy he is to get in touch with and get a reponse from anymore (since technically he IS retired!), you might try writing a letter directly to Yogi Bhajan, describing your situation and your particularly scary experiences in detail. Please check with the Secretariat FIRST to get your expectations set correctly. If he does provide you with a written response, you will know exactly what is going on and exactly what to do... For now, just be SURE you always chant "Ong Name Guru Dev Namo" before you begin, and Sat Nam (+ "Long time Sun") as you end. As Seva Simran Singh said: "When you practice kundalini yoga, and chant the opening mantra, the teacher is there, so don't worry about that. If you can find a class in your area, all the better." Do whatever you can to consistently connect with "the golden chain" of spiritual teachers who have brought this powerful technology and esoteric wisdom to us from down through the ages, and you will be supported and protected from trouble in your practice. "Keep up!" (and you'll get through it all...) gs Guruprem Singh ('GS') Khalsa 408-396-7249 cell, 24 hrs. Guest guest
Thanks for all you for such a good input. I realize it being partly on my end too with trying to connect and doing venus lock during the day and leisure time just out of devoution and want to do more. but may be I should cut down on doing extra during the day and just do it in the morning. Thanks again. I feel I can truely overcome the hurdles with all the help that I get from each of you on the list. SAT NAM Akkama --- khalsayogi wrote: > Sat Nam, > > WELL SAID, Seva Simran Singh ji!
