Guest guest
Sat Nam, I have attention deficit disorder and am suffering from clinical depression. Most of the meditations you have require at least 11 minutes. I have a hard time focusing for 11 minutes at a time. It's difficult because of the ADD and I am adjusting to zoloft for depression, which also causes nausea. I really want to get better through meditation, is there a problem if I can't focus for 11 minutes? Also, I understand that we can alleviate some of our karma by helping others. How do we do this if we are not around other people to help them? Hansmukh Kaur
Guest guest
Sat Nam, Most of us can't focus for 11 minutes. Can anybody actually totally focus for 11 minutes? But you still do the meditation. We do the meditation so someday we can increase our ability to focus. How do we do this if we are not around other people to help them? Just work on yourself and you will serve the world. Guest guest
Hansmukh Kaur ji, I think what Yogiji has been teaching is unique because much of it addresses the pace of a Western life/mind style. He knows that one has great difficult truly quieting our out/in sides by simply sitting. The kriyas and exercises are of the moving kind and sometimes at a feverish pace. Having matched our momentum with an intense exercise, we have a chance to realize shuniya, the still point. Prepare yourself with something physical and having that done well, meditation will be automatic.
