If I am not mistaken, it will change every 12 hours (its gradually and slow, but you can realize it). That's also the reason, why some yoga sets / kriyas have in the morning a different effect than in the evening. To my understanding and present knowledge, the breathing through the right nostril ('activation' of pingala --> wakes up the left side of the brain) is stronger in the early morning and this will make you more focussed, giving you the feeling of being awake and 'ready'. The stronger breathing through the left nostril ('activation' of ida --> 'activation' of the right side of the brain, then happening most naturally in the evening) will calm you down .
