Today my pet cat passed on. It was a terrible for loss for me, and I

wanted to know if there were any kriyas for grieving. Thanks for any

help.

Sat Nam,

We feel deeply for you at this time. Sa Ta Na Ma meditation will help

you through this period of sadness. God bless.

Sat Nam Lanzone,

I wished I had know Akal, when my Dobe passed about 9 years ago.

Its really a chant and a visualization. The way I learned it-if anyone else

knows this

feel free to correct or add on- Sit in easy pose, right hand over your heart

center,

picture your loved one there in your heart center, inhale deeply, and chant

Aaaaaaaa

kkkkaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllll, as you chant you sweep your right hand up

to the heavens as if you are showing the way, and releasing.. You

are showing them the way.

I did it for 11 minutes for my Grandfather. Its really self-healing too. Some

have

slightly different variations on this, and others do it just three times.

When I'm in the car, I'll do it for animals, the short form.

Sorry for your loss. You'll see her/him again.:-)

Blessings

Brad

It's been said that if one doesn't have an animal in their life than there is a

hole in the soul. Where we humans wobble in our availability to

one another, animals are always there (even cats). They are who they are and

they are not into head trips. I probably wouldn't be alive with my

furry and scaly friends.

Best thing I can suggest is the rise up early before the sun when your deep

subconscious is wide open and chant Wahe Guru from your heart. Stay

with your experience, raise your voice, feel all of you. Give thanks for the

beauty this companion has brought to you. Just chant and that is

kriya enough for now. Expand your pranic body in yoga and withdraw it in

pratyahar. To remember "the Oneness", the whole of which you are part,

and to resonate from that integrated sense despite what thoughts, pains or

feelings come is Pratyahar. Saying "Wondrous Bliss", "Thank You God"

when the grief comes up is to be established in the inborn self-generative,

self-healing power of your being.

There are number of great Wahe Guru chants available on Sadhana tapes. Wahe Guru

Kaur's Aquarian Sadhana and Neirika Sadhana are my favorite for

feeling.

Best Wishes,

Dharam
