Guest guest
Sitali breath is inhaled thru extended and curled tongue and exhale is out thru nose. Vatskar is around. I'll try and find where it's printed. It's in the Teacher's training manual for sure. Anyone else out there know where else?? There a number of sets that work on digestion and elimination. Also, look at some of my Ayurvedic posts from the last week or so. Really helps one grasp the idea of balancing the doshas in one's practice. Kinda whipped right now...long day, Dharam see earlier post below http://www.vedanet.com/ Will get your feet wet if you don't know too much about Ayurveda. It is the internet home of Dr. David Frawley. I have dabbled in Ayurvedic enough to recognize that much of what Yogiji has been teaching us since 1969 comes right out of this system. Now it is not so mysterious but rather like common sense. Start with the article entitled "The Ayurvedic Affects of Asana Practice, from Yoga For Your Type". It gives a basic description of the Doshas plus a bunch more........a whole bunch more! A number of good articles plus a correspondence course in Ayurvedic medicine Sat Nam, Dharam Ruth and John wrote: > Dear Dharam, I am highly interested in the Vatskar Kriya and the Sitali you > mention. Guest guest
Vatskar Kriya is on page 92 of "Flow of Eternal Power." Pumping the stomach 26 times with the breath held in and out is really good for digestion too. I know some people who used that as part of a program to cure their colitis. Seva Simran Singh.
