Guest guest
Hi everybody, I am a 46 years old male, new to kundalini yoga. I am seeking advice how to treat effectively my slight hypertonia with yoga. I guess it comes mainly from stress (I am an Air Traffic Controller), no physical disordes yet (perhaps some constriction of the vessels). A complete set of exercise and mudras are highly appreciated. Thanks for help, Sat Nam, Tibor

I guess it comes mainly > from stress (I am an Air Traffic Controller), no physical disordes yet I don't know about hypertonia, but if the cause is stress then treat that. Get my book Relax and Renew www.yogatech.com and pick out what works for you. All the sets and meditations work if you do them. If you need a presence then pick out a video on the same site. Yoga Now by Ravi Singh is good for beginners. Get started doing something and then go from there. And enjoy the journey. Guest guest
In my experience hypertonia can be a genetic tendency aggravated by stress. In any case, it is necessary to stretch and strengthen the muscles related to the different joints, equally - not just stretch, not just strengthen. It takes quite a number of months to get good results, so keep up. And make sure you are doing the exercises correctly, not just winging it.
