Guest guest
Sat Nam Brad, This morning, I was able to do 2.5 hours of Sodashan Chakra thanks to your encouragement. The second hour was much easier than the first 31 minutes or the first hour. The last 31 minutes were even easier. No clock watching although I did have to go to the bathroom in between and a took a 31 minute nap after the first hour. It is more rewarding to do the long meditation of a single type and to go deeper into it in the sense that I felt more in this case emotional turmoil than I feel in a shorter pranayama. The emotional turmoil that came up was not pleasant, but somehow it will be productive in the long run (40 days). I doubt that I will be able to sustain 40 days of 2.5 hours while I am working. I'll just do as much as I can putting the morning and the evening together. I used the Tantric Wahe Guru instead of the traditional Sodarshan Chakra tape. For these long meditations, it is very good to have a CD instead of a tape. Tantric Wahe Guru felt slower and more relaxed. I am too anxious and that's why I was having problems with dizziness on the first day. Being slower it is harder to pump 48 times, but given my tense nature, it is good to be more relaxed. I did not get dizzy at all. Sat Nam, Gian Kaur >
Guest guest
Sat Nam Brad, More reporting on Sodarshan Chakra. This morning, there was more sleeping between one hour sets. I'm sure that is not the most effective way to do it. Maybe it is just like my previous problem with clock watching. I am avoiding going deeper. Thinking about what Gurucharn said about the cycle of apana and prana (whatever that means), there is some kind of cycle within the 2.5 hour period. By sleeping etc, I am disrupting that cylce and losing something. At the same time, I am trying not to get too goal-oriented and tense. It is counterproductive. - "Ellen Madono" <vze3dssf <Kundaliniyoga> Sunday, May 26, 2002 10:49 PM Re: Sodarshan Chakra > Sat Nam Brad, > > This morning, I was able to do 2.5 hours of Sodashan Chakra thanks to your > encouragement.
