Satnam Sri Vahayguroo

Tried doing Sadarshan kriya. 2 Questions

1. I find it difficult to count and concentrate at the same time.

2. After only ONE cycle (16 Vahayguroos) I get very tired and cannot

even complete the second cycle.

Could I be doing it wrong.

Sat Nam Gurkirpa,

1. I find it difficult to count and concentrate at the same time.

practice, start with 3 mins, when you have that down move up to 6 mins or 11

2. After only ONE cycle (16 Vahayguroos) I get very tired and cannot

even complete the second cycle.

Sodarshan is a somewhat demanding kriya, everyone is in a different place

relative to meditation, I believe. For some its rather easy and the

body adjusts quickly (me),

for others it takes alot of perseverance. The first time I tried Sodarshan I

was able to do it, but it took me a while to figure out the

counting, and to make it to 16 (48).

But the body adjusts even while you are meditating, I find Sodarshan easier (as

with

other meditations) after 31 minutes and 62 and 1.5 hours etc.. Where you are

right now is at a real physical/physiological level, body is

fighting, you are trying to concentrate. Push through it.

"Are you doing it wrong?" Inhale left, 48 pumps, exhale right, repeat. Eyes at

the tip of your nose. Try subtle pumps they don't have to be

vigorous like Breath of Fire.

Blessings

Use your fingers when trying to keep track of your count.......it's okay. You

pump 3 times for each waheguru. Each finger is one waheguru. You

have four fingers. (thumb is not a finger). In a complete cycle of the mantra

you will silently chant waheguru 16 times so you will cycle through

your fingers 4 times. It becomes automatic. This is similar to what Yogiji said

years ago when he first gave it to us.
