hello everyone,

i have been trying to do the sa ta na ma meditation but my thumb and my

mercury

finger barely touch due to Md.. in my hands. is this going to effect the

outcome of the

meditation? i really need the clear communication and also with the

timing of the 31 minute version. may i have some suggestions as how to

keep the time. i have just been opening my eyes and checking on the

clock.

thank you

Sat Nam Cindy,

I don't believe degree of touching is important. Is "barely touching" in

this case

like barely pregnant? Just keep the intent on the touching.

Get a dual timer. Mine is a West Bend, got it at Wal-Mart. When I do

Sa-Ta-Na-Ma all I ever have to do is push two 3 buttons when alarm goes

off, then I know its time to change--I do out loud, whisper, silent.

The cooking timer is the best, I couldn't imagine doing sadhana without it.

Sounds like your doing alright, keep up!

Blessings

Brad

Hi Cindy,

Every so often my little pinky sort of "trips" out. I was sitting there just

doing Kirtan Kriya and that finger just didn't want to make the

connection and then the phone rang. I picked it up, did some quick interaction

and noticed that when I returned to my meditation my finger was

quite normal. The pinky corresponds to that part of the brain that has to do

with communication and interacting with the environment. Several

times a few years ago I reproduced this same situation with the same result.

Something to think about even in your current situation with MD
