Guest guest
>From a sadhu's notebook: When the Christ avatara departed from Earth, He said, "I am leaving now, but I will send you a comforter, the Spirit of Truth". Even prior to the moment of that descent of the male avatara's Spirit, however, the Holy Spirit, the Will-current of the Mother, has been present and in circulation on Earth for ages. And, despite the attempts of theologians to masculinize the Holy Spirit, always refering to It as "He", in their efforts to suppress the once ubiquitous Mother Goddess cults of the ancient world, no one who feels that Current can mistake It for anything other than feminine in nature, and the living Presence of the Mother. The advent of the Ramakrishna Avatara probably greatly increased the intensity and availability of both the Spirit of Truth and the "Current that knows the way" of the Divine Mother. But there can be no doubt that He also unified Them as never before. If one contemplates Sri Ramakrishna's divine life, it is easily seen that its two great themes, guiding forces, or simply currents of Divine Power, are the Spirit of Truth and the living Reality of the Mother Goddess. And we know that He gave equal value to both, and unified them in a way that perhaps Krishna and Radha, Rama and Sita, and Christ and Mary could not be so unified in those past ages. Therefore, as I pray, chant, meditate, or simply feel the Presence of the Divine throughout my day, I am, in fact, invoking and entering into the living flow of these two great spiritual Realities. And as they continue to flow with ever-increasing force and saving Grace on Earth, it is unconscionable that I should not spend the greater part of each day immersed in the Bliss and guiding Power of the Gift of this Divine Presence. Above all, these two great universal Strands of Mother-love and Spirit-truth, woven together during the profound mystery of Sri Ramakrishna's divine Descent, are pre-eminently contactable, without need for special time, training, or equipment, by the simple means of sincerely inviting one or both into one's life, and then, moment by moment, or even continuously, feeling the Presence of God. <*> / <*> <*> Your
