In other words, if you are sincere and your heart is full of devotion, you could be baby-talking and it would be accepted as readily as the most perfect sanskrit. --jody. Guest guest
Kali and Durga are opposite sides of the same coin. Kali's energy is to take things away. Durga's energy is to add power to things. If you are a Bhakta, motivated exclusively by devotion, ALL the Goddesses are Para-Shakti. 18th cnury Bhakti poet Ramprasad Sen is touted as a "Kali poet," but he called his Goddess Kali, Durga, Tara, Uma, Parvati, Mahesvari, Gauri, Shyama, Katyayani, and by many other names, including Lakshmi and Sarasvati (who are not normally consorts of Lord Shiva). However, if you are making offerings to Durga, it might be nice to throw in a few chants and mantras specifically appropriate to Her. For example: OM DOONG MAHADURGAYAI NAMAHA JAYA JAYA HEY MAHISHAASURA-MARDINI RAMLA KAPARDINI SHAILA-SUTE JAI JAI DURGA MA OM DURGAM DEVIM SHARANAM AHAM PRAPADYE DOONG (9 TIMES) NAMO NAMAHA -- Len/ Kalipadma On Tue, 7 Sep 2004 09:31:57 +0800 <karthig_vellasamy writes: > Greetings, > This might sound rather weird, but I would like to enquire from > members from this group, if it is possible to apply Kali poojas' to > Durga Ma? > Will there be any negative impact to the performer? > The mantras which I wld like to perform is as below.
