Guest guest
Namaste Nurcarnation, >Ji, is this state called the mahasamadhi? Correct me if I am wrong, in union with the paramaathma (kali) the presence of jivathma is not there anymore. Thus the 'I' disappear. This is so much like the characteristic of Bhagawan Ramakrishna. Yes you are right . >Lets work on verse 6 Yat jnatva mattah bhavati, stabdhah bhavati, atmaramah bhavati. As you wish..................... (Yat) which knowing ( matto) intoxicated (bahavathi) becomes (stabdho) silent(bahavathi) becomes(atmatramo)finding joy in one Own self (bhavathi) becomes Which by knowing becomes intoxicated becomes silent becomes finding joy in Self This means the devotee who have been grace by such a devotion towards Him would have this nature in him; Intoxicated This is because the god intoxicated man is unconscious of himself .To the external world he looks like a drunkard. A drunkard is numb to the social surrounding he is in his own world . Sage Narada is using this word to show how difficult it is to judge such a man from a material man’s perceptive . To the material man the spiritual fervour is like a toxicating substance that makes one forget himself (Religion is the opium of mass) He is unable to assess the sage from his reasoning and logical view point because he is not experiencing what is the devotee who is immersed in Lord is experiencing. He don’t not realize the devotee have not forgotten himself but have realized his Self. Thus Sage Narada is defining the devotee as how he is seen by the ordinary person perspective; Silent The word silent here signifies absence of any activities . The devotee is in state of samadhi .He have merged with the Supreme losing identification with the body which is only transitory. The silent is reflected by the calmness within despite him living just like any one of us among us .It is an exordinary combination of calmness and activity at the same time . Find joy in his own Self However, the silence above does not indicate absence of joy but he is actually experiencing bliss in this state of unification. The joy he is experiencing is not dependant on any circumstances or condition and eternal. In the previous verse Sage Narada described what the devotee experiencing internally and in this verse he is describing how does that experience is being perceived by the other ordinary soul externally .The sage is doing this to show that the internal experience can only be understood by the experiencer, however the outer look could be only be seen by the ordinary person.
