Guest guest
Namaste Nurcarnation, >Thank you very much ji. >Correct me if I am wrong ji,Bhakti, which is a flood of love towards >God, leaves no room for other desires in the mind. Thus the mind is >completely saturated with the nectar called God, it is not open to >attack by other desires. Bhakti completely and effortlessly takes >control of the mind. Hence it leads to the renunciation of >meaningless things. Yes you are right my dear but the arguement that even bhakthi is a form of desire does not hold as bhakthi is negation of all type of desire. Thus you could not have a desire not to have a desire . Which means by having true bhkathi you have come to an end . >This reminds me of Bhagawan Ramakirshna, where once he met a wealthy devotee in his tour and the wealthy devotee said, "Swamiji, you are renounced all the pleasures of the world." Bhagawan replied, "No it is not so, in fact, you are greater than me. I have renounced petty things for the greatest joy of all, that is God, and you have renounced HER for useless things. You indeed possess a greater degree of renunciation." Good, so you have read Gospel . However the story above is more propriate to reflect the meaning of renunciation in true sense. In the context of our discussion above ,please check page 612 in Gospel of Ramakrishna when he says ,"The desire for bhakthi can't be called desire. It is simply a sort of logical quibble,as it were.Logical quibble means like where is space in space ,what is the last number ,what is the end of universe etc. etc. Jai Maa!!!
