Guest guest
In Buddhism and Hinduism, the colors black and blue are considered virtually interchangeable. Often Kali's complexion is described as bluish-black, the color of the midnight sky, or of a thundercloud before a downpour. The Buddha Akshobha, of the Vajra Buddha Family, represents the poison of anger, and the equanimity to overcome it. Akshobha is portayed as either blue or black skinned. I believe Ramakrishna compared Mother Kali's complexion to the ocean -- at a distance, the ocean looks blue, but up close it is transparent. -- Len/ Black Lotus On Fri, 16 Jul 2004 19:48:51 -0000 "Satori" <sokushinjobutsu writes: > Namaste! > > I am curious.
