Guest guest
Looking through Kali's names I noticed one that surprised me -- the name is Kubjika, and means Crippled or Hunchback. (I think this is also one of the titles of Balaa.) I can understand why Kali can be described as Ugra, or Ghora, and that it is not really an insult to her since she can assume such forms if she wants to frighten someone or repel someone. But I cannot see should why she be called Kubjika. Is there an esoteric reason for this title, or is it a reference to a particular myth in which she assumed such a form for some purpose? Or is it a misprint or mistranslation? Jai Kali
