munimAnasahamsikA : The swan of the MAnasa lake of the Muni's mind.

Or, muni, of munis, MAna, to please, sahamsikA [lit. a dancer with

bangles on the ankles], ie she takes delight in pleasing the munis.

BhAskararAya's Commentary

Translated into English by R. Ananthakrishna Sastry.

She dwells like a female swan in the mAnasa-sarovara, in the minds

of Her devotees who are immersed in dhyana.

Alternatively, She is the great Mantra-Svarupa ever dwelling in the

minds of Yogis.

- Dr. C. Suryanarayana Murthy, Commentary on the Sri Lalita

Sahasranama, 1962
