Guest guest
I practiced Hatha Yoga for many years but then fell out of practice and am now interested in kundalini yoga. I am most interested in 'remembering' about pranyama. I read here in this newsletters many terms that I do not understand. Anyway , I remember getting the most out of the discipline of the breathing exersise sand the basic asanas. Do you know anything about usng pranayama for pain control? Thanks , Richard (Tallahassee,Fl)
Guest guest
Sat Nam Richard, What kind of pain, where? Pranayam can be used for in KY to affect different areas like cleansing lungs/organs/cells (Breath of Fire), spine/digestion/sex energy (Sitali), depression (broken breaths-recent post), change circulation/activate thyroid and parathyroid (whistle breath). Guest guest
Dear Sangeet Kaur, The breathing book by Donna Farah is very good. THere is a lot written in various places, but the only real way to know your breath is to do pranayama exercises. Do the basic breath series in my books and one minute breath for 11 minutes daily and you will learn more than from any explanation.
