Guest guest
Hot weather is upon us and I am having a very hard time sleeping. I sleep fitfully like when one has a fever, thus I have a hard time waking up and being alert during the day. Also a very hard time with practising, my energy is zapped. I love cool weather.....any ideas....I do the cooling breath but it is only a temporary effect. - Official partner of 2002 FIFA World Cup http://fifaworldcup. Guest guest
Hi Linda, "very hard time sleeping" I used to use melatonin, but with KY effect on the pineal and other glands I don't need to anymore. But you could always take a half tab, just enough to keep you 'sleepy'. Maybe look for a set that works specifically on particular glands, like the pineal, (Brosa meditation with arms over head hands interlaced above Crown chakra/pineal;mantra is WaHe Guru). BTW pineal gland secretes melatonin. "I do the cooling breath but it is only a temporary effect" Have you tried 11 minutes of left nostril breathing? Guest guest
Hi Brad- I normally sleep like a baby due to KY, but it is the hot weather, I feel suffocated. I have used melatonin long ago, perhaps during the summer I will need to use again. I will try 11 minutes of left nostril, have only done 3 before and will try the meditation.....thanks for the suggestions. Any ideas of dispelling my "heat" I was born this way it seems, never needing jackets or shoes.... blankets, etc...seems to better though since KY. Guest guest
Sat Nam Linda, I'm a cold person, so maybe my solution doesn't apply to you. To beat the heat I have found that a big sweat early in the day makes a hot day much more pleasant. Yogi B. says we should all sweat, laugh and ??? everyday. I have this notion that by getting the toxins out early in the morning and then showering, the sweat that comes out on my skin later is much more pleasant than that first very sticky sweat.
